Social:

Experience:

Lee has really made a name for himself in the cryptocurrency industry. Lee has had an extensive career in software development and has been involved with blockchain technology since 2011, founded Litecoin (which currently has the 6th largest market cap), and the director of engineering at Coinbase.

Influence:

No one can deny Lee’s sway within the crypto industry. With more twitter followers than the acclaimed Vitalik Buterin, one can get a sense of what kind influence his words have.

Unfortunately, this also has a dark side. In January 2018, Lee wrote a reddit post in which he admitted that he sold all of his litecoin holdings, save a few physical coin collectibles. Lee sited that there was a conflict of interest. After the news broke the price for litecoin took a dive. One can only guess that the public feared that the currency was overpriced.

Coverage:

As the founder of Litecoin, Lee speaks mainly about his company in his interviews, public speeches, and articles. Occasionally, Lee will comment on other happenings within the crypto industry and ask for followers’ opinions but will mainly stick to Litecoin.

Activity:

Lee regularly posts on Twitter and frequently takes twitter polls to understand the mind of the crypto traders. Lee will also make public appearances for interviews and give speeches on a regular basis.

Overall:

Charlie Lee is well experienced and successful within the crypto world. The combination of those two aspects has lead him to be well respected and influential within the crypto circles. However, many have questioned his decision to sell his Litecoin and then announce his actions. While that act tarnished his popularity, Lee has continued to play a big role as a crypto tycoon. We also like his personal touch of adding Dragon Ball Z art wherever he can.
